Range Pole
Ranging rod is used for the marking position of stations, and sightings of those stations, as well as ranging straight lines made of light and straight bamboo.
Ranging rods are usually about 30 mm in diameter and 2 m or 3 m long, painted with alternating bands, such as red and white, red and yellow, or black and white, in lengths of 200 mm, 500 mm, or 1 foot that the rod can be properly sighted in case of long distance or bad weather.
Ranging rods of greater length up to 3 to 6 meter and are used for very long survey lines.
Heavy duty range pole features alternating 12” orange and white sections.
Threaded joints allow for fast assembly 5/8” x 11.
Ranging rod is provided with iron at the bottom and surmounted with a flag about 250 mm square in size.
